He's 83 years old and still riding. Esteban Esco Sr. won this exhibition show during the "Dongba ni Kabajo" (horse racing) which was part of the ongoing Adivay Festival in Wangal, La Trinidad.
Yes indeed, that's the Benguet Cowboy way. No saddle. That doesn't mean they don't have saddles, they're just following the old traditions of horse racing.

ReplyDeleteHe's been riding horses since 1936 at the age of 11. Experiences taught him well. He wouldn't fall so easily.
